Air Plants

I first learned about air plants when I was visiting a friend in San Francisco a year ago and now they seem to be popping up every where I turn! Laura and I found them at West Elm when we were in Chicago. Each of us brought one home.

Aren’t they amazing? Who knew plants could survive without soil? They’re pretty much fool proof. All you have to do is soak them in water every couple weeks and they perk right up! Mine (above) is really too small for the hanging container, but it works for now. Maybe I need to find another one!

My next indoor gardening goal is a terrarium. Anyone made one yet? Laura’s one step ahead of me with hers below. Isn’t that the coolest fish tank turned terrarium you’ve ever seen? I think she got her succulents at Lowe’s. I guess I’ll have to add that to my list!
