EAB explores HomeGoods

Last weekend Laura and I split the distance between Michigan and Iowa and met in Chicago. Our time together involved lots of talk about the blog (we have some exciting things coming up next week!), deep dish pizza, coffee, fabric shopping, and a trip to HomeGoods! In Des Moines we have TJMaxx, which is technically the same thing, but after reading about the fabulous things our blog friends John and Sherry and others have discovered at HomeGoods we couldn’t pass up a chance to visit one. Amazingly neither of us bought anything (though I did wander around the store clutching a bath mat and some wicker balls for quite awhile). Here are some of our favorite things:

Laura found a pillow that matches the colors of the blog!

This lamp reminded us of Oh Joy’s fabulous gold wallpaper.

I wanted these A to Z bookends for our mantel.

Are we the only people who find a charming little settee and feel the need to prop it with pillows?

Yes, we created multiple “scenes” with this little loveseat. So many, that at one point a salesperson asked if we needed any help, and our response was, “no, we’re just playing!”

I wish we had a Home Goods where I live because I really like those large wooden letters.
