No matter how big your house is, I don't think anyone has enough storage. Am I right?
I flip through magazines and think how great it would be to have all my magazines filed away and my kitchen cabinets arranged perfectly, but I don't know if I could live that way! I'm not one for fancy filing systems or alphabetized spices. They would look nice for a day and then I'd need to use something and it would be a disaster again.
So here are some ways that we've found to store things that work for us. We'd love to hear your tricks!
I borrowed this idea from one of my girlfriends in the baby room. She hung a shoe organizer on the back of the closet door and used it for extra blankets, sheets, burp cloths, etc. We'll see how long ours looks this nice once the baby is born, but at least we're starting off organized!
Laura uses vintage suitcases to store games, wrapping supplies, and baby stuff. I need to keep my eye out for these next time I'm at Goodwill!
This is one of my favorite storage tricks. I keep my earrings in a ceramic egg crate and hang earrings from a milk glass dish. As long as they stay in the dishes, Adam doesn't mind having them out in the bathroom. That's a win, win!
You can get ceramic egg crates at World Market now! I might need to snag another one.
I rediscovered this trick for storing boots the other day when I went to put on boots for the first time this season. Just roll up a magazine and put it in the boot to keep it standing straight.
