Decorating with Encouragement

by Andrea Cooley

I can be picky when it comes to what I hang on my walls. Ok, let's be honest, I'm picky about most things. I'm the wife who sends her husbands links with specific colors and sizes of what I want for my birthday or Christmas. I guess I know what I like!

When it comes to having art that actually says something, it has to be really meaningful for me to like it. I have a lot of things hung on the walls, but looking around, I noticed that there are very few things with words on them. I think that might start to change!

The latest line of wall art from DaySpring is what made me start reconsidering art with words on it. Every design is beautiful and encouraging. A great combination!

There are currently 19 designs to choose from in the Words Matter collection. Some are verses and some are quotes. Each 5×7 print is $10 and printed on heavy cardstock. Orders over $50 ship for free. I'm such a sucker for free shipping, I may have to stock up on gifts! Here are some of my favorites:

A Beautiful Blend of Abilities | Do Less. Be More. | You Are Loved | Kind Words

And because when it comes to pretty things, I can't stop with just one place to find inspiring prints, I also wanted to share some lovely designs from Naptime Diaries. I've seen these popping up in the blogosphere, but had never visited the website. Be warned–it's pretty amazing and will suck you in and make you want to fill your walls with encouraging words!

You can order the designs as 8×10 or 11×14 prints as well as larger canvases. And, there are discounts for ordering multiples, just saying! I think some of these will be showing up on the walls of the new baby room (ideas to come) and Emerson's room!

If I had to narrow my top picks down to 4, here are the ones I would choose:

Be Still | Be Strong and Courageous | Bless the Lord | Every Gift

Does anyone have other good sources for encouraging artwork? I know Jones Design Company also has a great selection and etsy is always a good place to look.
