Friday Favorites: 7.10

zinnias

It’s officially summer when the zinnias are in bloom and the tomatoes are getting ripe in the garden. Bunnies have been munching on some of my zinnia plants, but I have high hopes that some of the blooms will survive. Otherwise I’ll have to get some flowers at the farmer’s market!

Here are some of my favorites things from around the web this week:

I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of Emily Freeman’s newest book, It’s Simply Tuesday, and am loving it! I will definitely share more about it when I finish. It doesn’t come out ’til August, but you can preorder it for less than $8! If you haven’t read her other books, Grace for the Good Girl or A Million Little Ways, I highly recommend them too.

Nothing compares to a garden-fresh tomato. It will still be a few weeks before the ones in our garden are ready to eat, but I will definitely be trying this tomato sandwich when they are!

I just ordered my first Chat Book. I can’t wait for it to come! If you take lots of instagram photos, it’s definitely worth checking out. And you can get your first book free with this code: 3JV2TUWK

It’s no secret that I love to read, so of course I loved this post about the most beautiful passages you’ve ever read. It made me want to flip back through some of my all-time favorite books.

I’m linking up with Christa over at Brown Sugar Toast and Susanna at Revolutionary Life. Be sure to check out their Friday Favorites.

  1. O my goodness, I just wrote about my divine experience with tomato sandwiches in Friday Faves! Great minds, I tell you. Of course, my picture was not nearly as lovely as those on Cup of Jo. But I wager the taste was delicious, as always. Tomato sandwiches are purely delicious.
