Friday Top 5: British Design

by Andrea Cooley

Is anyone else as excited about the Summer Olympics in London? If you know me, you know that I LOVE everything to do with the Olympics. The inspiring stories, the underdogs, the history, the competition. How can you not be completely inspired by these athletes? Actually attending the Olympics is on my bucket list. Last year we were in London and of course we had to visit the countdown sign in Trafalgar Square. We were there a year too early!
In honor of the Olympics, we have 5 designs inspired by the iconic Union Jack flag. The Opening Ceremonies are next Friday, July 27. Check back for more Olympic ideas next week!

1. Union Jack Pillow I could see a kids' room decorated in all red, white, and blue. (Home Decorators, $39)
2. Notepad These would have been perfect to journal about our trip in! (World Market, $3.95) Check out the rest of World Market's Union-Jack loot.
3. Ottoman I especially love the faded colors in this. (Restoration Hardware, $169)

4. Tray This would look great in a library or bachelor's pad. (Target, $19.99)5. Wall Art Who doesn't love a "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster? (Cafe Press, $18)

I found another great round up of London-inspired decorating ideas over at Simplified Bee.
