Friday Top 5: Colors of Spring

by Andrea Cooley

Does anyone else get excited when you turn the calendar to March? I know it’s technically still winter for a few weeks, but to me March means we’re done with winter and spring is just around the corner!

I really can’t complain because we’ve had a mild winter, but it’s still grey and dreary out. I’m ready for color! When I think of spring I think of tulips, daffodils, budding branches, and green grass. The world is coming alive!

1. I love blooming trees! I can almost smell these fluffy flowers, and see the petals falling to the ground like snow.

2. We planted tulip bulbs last fall, I really hope they bloom soon!

3. I love how intricate ferns are. They are so delicate as they unfurl!

4. Blooming forsythia branches. I have some fake forsythia branches that I need to bring out.

5. Don’t daffodils just make you smile?

  1. I really hope I planted the hyacinths, crocus and daffodils deeply enough for them to have survived the winter!
