Gifts for Girls

girls gifts

I saved the best gift guide for last. And the reason I say that is because when I pick gifts for my girlfriends and family, usually I look for things that I would like. I tell myself it's not selfish–I'm just picking my favorite things for people I love!

So, if you're still looking for the perfect gift for your sister, mom, friend, or wife (hint, hint, Adam!) here are some of my favorites.

1 // Beza Threads scarf

I've blogged about these scarves before, but I can't not mention them again! Some of our close friends started a non-profit that sells scarves made by former sex slaves in Ethiopia. The scarves are hand woven and absolutely beautiful and buying one scarf ensures that a girl is kept off the street for one night. You can order the scarves online, but if you live in Des Moines and want to buy one, let me know and I can try to coordinate a way for you to get it without paying for shipping.

2 // Darling magazine

This magazine is all about the art of being a woman, perfect to inspire a strong, independent woman. No sexy cover lines or demeaning stories about how to make her body perfect, this magazine celebrates women's natural strength and beauty.

3 // Hello sweatshirt

Sweatshirts are kind of trendy right now and this one is a great addition to anyone's closet. I got this sweatshirt last year and wear it at least once a week!

4 // Mugs

Who doesn't love drinking their coffee or tea out of a pretty mug? I can't resist a special mug and Anthropologie has some of the prettiest around.

5 // Noonday Collection Bracelet

Everyone loves a gift that gives back and this wrap bracelet is made by women in India. Proceeds of all sales help empower these artisans.

6 // Capri Blue mercury candle

These candles seriously smell amazing! And the mini candles are only $12.

7 // Notebooks

I don't think I would ever buy these pretty little notebooks for myself, but that's why they make a great gift!

I hope this helps you finish your shopping!

I did about half my shopping online this year and tackled the rest in the stores. How do you do most of your Christmas shopping?
