It's been almost 3 months since Lydia Ruth was born and yesterday, she got to come home from the hospital! It's been a long road, but God has been so faithful. My prayer for Laura and Cody during these last few months has been for endurance. Obviously they wouldn't have chosen to have their little girl born 3 months early and then to be in the NICU with her for so long, but they have persevered, through the good days and the hard days. I know they will still appreciate your prayers, but today is definitely a day of celebration!
Tomorrow I'm heading to Saginaw for a long weekend. We planned this trip over a month ago, hoping and praying that Lydia would be home, and our prayers were answered! I can't wait to hold her in my arms, kiss those sweet cheeks, and start teaching her all sorts of girly things!
Lydia is one blessed (and beautiful) lady! I'll share again the verse that has been such a comfort to their family since before she was born:
"You go before me and follow me. You place Your hand of blessing on my head Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!"
Psalm 139:5- 6
