I love the original woodwork on our windows (not the original windows, but that’s another post), but they look a little bare. I’ve been thinking about hanging curtains in the living room for awhile, but haven’t been able to commit to any. Does anyone else feel like they can find good ideas and pretty prints but when it comes to pulling the trigger and actually making a decision and putting something in your house and living with it I’m paralyzed by all the options. I start to second guess myself. What if I make the wrong choice? What if I spend money on something and it’s ugly, or I hate it, or it’s not “right”?
- I’d love to incorporate pattern, but it has to pass the husband test.
- I’m leaning toward something semi-sheer. We don’t get a ton of light in the living room, so I don’t want to cover up the windows too much.
- I think I prefer a grommet top.
- I need 4 panels, and I don’t want to spend a fortune. Ideally my budget is $100, but I could be convinced to spend $150 for the right curtains.
I’ve been doing most of my shopping online, so here’s what I’ve narrowed it down to:
Target Full disclosure: I actually have one of these curtains (the blue and brown) draped over my sofa right now, but Adam’s not thrilled with it and I’m not convinced I love it.
What do you think? Any other suggestions? I feel like I’ve looked everywhere, but maybe I’m missing a good source for curtains. I’ve bought the curtain rods (those were much easier to choose!). But I don’t want to hang them until I have curtains!
